Next Step Moving and Storage is based at 484 Common Street, Suite 2, Belmont, MA 02478, a short walk from Belmont Center.

Call and Maureen Kelly or another member of our office staff will walk you through a phone estimate, or send a few photos and we’ll build the number from those instead. Driving in? Our suite sits along the Common Street corridor between Belmont Center and Trapelo Road/Route 60 — look for the shared building entrance and Suite 2, not the storefront facing the street.

Common Questions on This Page

What's the fastest way to get a real person on the phone?▾

Call our office during our posted hours, Mon–Sun 7am–8pm, and you'll reach our Belmont office directly — not an answering service.

Can I stop by the Common Street office without calling ahead?▾

You're welcome to, though calling or emailing first means Maureen or another team member can have your quote details ready when you arrive instead of starting from scratch.

What Keeps People Booking Us Again

One Number, Nothing Added Later

Sean Doherty looks at the job himself — a call, a video walkthrough, or photos you text over — before he puts a number on paper, and that’s the number that shows up on the invoice.

Every Mover Is Ours, Full Stop

The crew on your truck trained under Tony Marchetti or Devon Walsh and draws a paycheck from Next Step — nobody’s pulled off a gig-work app the morning of your move.

Maureen Keeps Every Paper Ready

Every Belmont move runs on a Massachusetts DPU mover permit, and anything crossing state lines runs under our federal DOT and MC authority too — Maureen Kelly keeps both on file, plus proof of the $1M policy that rides along on every load, ready before you even think to ask.

Built Around a New England Calendar

A December ice storm that shuts down Trapelo Road gets a reschedule call before it hits, not after, and once the spring thaw turns the older driveways soft we walk the site first to make sure a loaded truck won’t sink it.

The Quote Already Covers the Hard Parts

A resident-permit street near Belmont Center, a third-floor triple-decker walk-up, the extra mileage out to Middlesex County’s far edge — all of it is priced in before we quote you, so the invoice never grows on move day.

Every Truck Rolls Out Fully Stocked

All 6 of our trucks leave the yard loaded with furniture pads, straps, dollies, and shrink wrap already on board, so nobody’s making a hardware-store run in the middle of your move.

Reserve Your Date Before September Fills Up

Lock in your Belmont move date online now — the first week of September disappears fast once every lease in Middlesex County turns over on the same weekend.

Moving The Date Costs Nothing Extra

A nor’easter lines up for moving day, or a closing gets pushed back a week — either way, rebooking ahead of time doesn’t add a dollar to your quote.

Priced Off Actual Middlesex County Jobs

Every quote is built from real jobs we’ve run around Belmont, not a generic online calculator, and veteran, teacher, and student-move discounts come off the price before you ever sign.

Straight From the People We Moved

Nothing below is trimmed or touched up — just Middlesex County households describing their own move day.

Devon’s crew got our piano down a staircase I was sure wouldn’t work, and never once acted rattled about it.

Tony walked the driveway before anything else, planned the truck angle, and had us loaded ahead of schedule.

No fuel charge, no stair charge, nothing tacked on — the price we agreed to was the price we paid.
