In plain English: book a move with us and we’ll show up, move your things, and charge the flat rate we quoted in writing — barring anything you didn’t disclose, like a piano we didn’t know about or three flights of stairs that weren’t mentioned. These terms just spell out the details in the usual legal language.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are built from the information you give us during a phone walkthrough or from photos you send — they assume that inventory and access are accurately described. If the job on move day is materially different, such as extra rooms, undisclosed items, or no elevator where one was expected, we’ll let you know the revised number before we continue, not after.
Deposits and Payment
A refundable deposit holds your date on the schedule and comes off your final invoice. Full payment is due on completion of the move unless other arrangements were made in writing in advance.
Cancellations
Moves cancelled with enough notice receive a full deposit refund; late cancellations may forfeit some or all of the deposit, since that date was held against other work we turned away.
Scheduling
We hold move dates on a first-booked basis. Weather events common to a New England winter — an ice storm or nor’easter that closes roads — may require rescheduling a date on short notice; we’ll always reach out as soon as we know a date is affected.
Liability
Our cargo coverage applies to items we pack and load ourselves; items packed by the customer are covered at a reduced released-value rate unless full-value coverage is arranged in advance. Claims for damage should be reported within a reasonable window after your move.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Questions about a quote or a completed move can go to our office any time.
